Pamela Ballinger is Professor of History and the Fred Cuny Chair in the History of Human Rights in the Department of History at the University of Michigan.
Her areas of expertise include human rights, forced migration, refugees, fascism, infrastructure, seaspace, and modern Mediterranean and Balkan history. She is currently at work on two book projects: An Intimate Sea: Sovereignties, Cartographies and Nature along the Modern Adriatic and Materializing Mussolini’s Mediterranean: Infrastructures of Fascist Empire.
